Haven't written anything for a while...

I've been very busy, working on a couple of different projects and trying to finish everything on time, in order to spend some time in a sunny beach somewhere in Greece, far away from busy streets, cars, noisy drillers, deadlines, furious peasants in variable stages of desperation (not that I can blame them), cab drivers, cement, computers and the "crisis".

I'm not complaining, the projects I've been working on are great, but I need some time off. Here's a taste of what I've been doing.

Comicdom con aftermath

Two weeks after the Comicdom Con...I had a great time as usual and after it was over it took me a week to recover. Even now that I did recover, I still have to force myself to work since the weather is amazing and warm and all I want to do is sit outside and do stuff with friends.

Since it's Monday, officially the worst day of the week, I'll start my day uploading pictures from the con and remembering how great it was. All thanks to the Comicdom team...

So...Spiros D and myself before the begining of the festival. We spent a couple of hours putting the postcards we made for the first 100 Bleeding Hearts issues into red envellopes and sticking them into the books. We really aren't as happy as we seem.

Bleeding Hearts Signing (4 great pics by Aris Malandranis). I was so tired after the signing on Saturday (the fact that it was hot as hell didn't help), that I went to the canteen and slept for about 14 minutes.

Έχω να δηλώσω πως έχω δει πολλές φορές το "Φρίντα". Πως η Καλομοίρα αύριο βγάζει στα ράδια το καινούργιο της τραγούδι στου οποίου το βιντεοκλίπ, στο ρεφρέν "Don't break my heart, don't leave me alone" (η κάτι τέτοιο) πιάνει τα γεννητικά της όργανα με νόημα. Και ξανά και ξανά. Και κάτι τύποι γύρω της χοροπηδούν σαν μαιμούδες. Δεν ανησυχώ σχετικά με το ΔΝΤ γιατί δεν μπορεί, θα αντέξουμε δύο χρονάκια ακόμα μέχρι το 2012 που θα πεθάνουμε από φυσικά αίτια. Τέλος, έχω να πω πως μπορούμε να ενισχύσουμε την οικονομία μας εξάγοντας δημόσιους υπαλλήλους.

Στην περίπτωση που αναρωτιέστε, δεν είμαι high, το ότι γύρισα από Ολλανδία πριν δύο βδομάδες είναι άσχετο . Είμαι high on zapping.

Υ.Γ. Πέρασε μια βδομάδα από το comicdom con, μαζεύω ακόμα σχέδια και φωτογραφίες για να τα ανεβάσω όλα μαζί εδώ.

Bleeding Hearts & comicdom con

Οι σελίδες της σειράς Bleeding Hearts που συνδημιουργούσα με τον Σπύρο Δερβενιώτη για περίπου δύο χρόνια για το περιοδικό Γκραν Γκινιόλ, αυξήθηκαν επικίνδυνα και έγιναν ένα 64σέλιδο άλμπουμ.

‘Ετοιμο, ζεστό και αχνιστό απ’ το τυπογραφείο επιτέλους, θα πρωτοπαρουσιαστεί στο comicdom con αυτό το Σαββατοκύριακο.

Όσοι δεν μπορέσετε να έρθετε στο con μπορείτε να βρείτε το άλμπουμ σε βιβλιοπωλεία και comic book stores από τις 23/04/2010.

Τα πρώτα εκατό αντίτυπα θα περιέχουν art print υπογεγραμμένο από τους δημιουργούς.

Bleeding Hearts and Firewalls

Back to the drawing board drawing Bleeding Hearts and doing website stuff at the same time. Actually I've been occupying my mind so much with ftp, dns, sql an' all, that yesterday I was having a chat with someone about love and relationships and I said something like "...yeah, you need to trust someone in order to love him...blah blah...if you don't, there's this firewall made of insecurities between you which blah blah...". Firewall. God.

Apart from that, I'm doing Christmas window decoration for a couple of shops, I"ll post some pics after the windows have been set.
